Celebrating Shannon Michelle on her birthday today!

shannon3

Hi friends! As some of you may know, or not know…I specialize in doing makeup in the Boston area. Over the past few years, as I transitioned from hair stylist to makeup intern and finally into an independent freelance makeup artist, I have had the opportunity to make connections with some of the most creative geniuses in Boston. One of my favorite and most cherished relationships is the one I have with my colleague and friend, Shannon Michelle (shannon-michelle.com).

I instantly connected with Shannon a couple years ago, when our mutual friend Jaclyn Lombardo introduced us. I appreciated her honesty, fiery spirit and the passion for what she did.. that shows not only in her work, but in how she relates to people. We have worked hard over the years to create an environment where women can come to us and be inspired to see themselves differently. I love how behind the scenes, Shannon and I often see eye to eye, and in the times that we don’t, we help each other see things in a different light, and inspire each other to think outside the box. It is a relationship that works, and continues to get better each and every time we collaborate!

I feel blessed everyday that you were put in my life, Shannon. Thank you for believing in me as an artist from day one! Can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.

Sincerely and truly….Love, Shana

So proud of you 🙂

Halloween skull face tutorial

Happy Sunday everyone! What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than with a Halloween tutorial! Here I’ll show you guys how I created this creepy half skull face. This is perfect for a Halloween party, and NOT many products are needed to achieve the look! I hope you guys like the video…please let me know what you think, and if there are any other Halloween tutorials you’re interested in seeing!

Love always, Shana

Halloween inspired look

As Halloween approaches, I am starting to experiment with looks to bring in the season! I call this a Halloween “inspired” look because it isn’t as much a character per say, as it is just fun and dark and reminds me of the holiday itself. What looks do you guys think I should create over the next couple of weeks? I have a few in mind already, but would love to hear your ideas!

Head over to my youtube page to subscribe so you can stay updated on future videos and give me a thumbs up if you like what you see 😉
